"Train a child in the way he should go
and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6

Lamb of God Lutheran School in partnership with Jordan and Woodlawn Lutheran Churches and families exists to provide its students with a Christ-centered education equipping them as heirs of heaven to go into the world as faithful stewards, witnesses of God's grace, and productive citizens.

Philosophy Statement

I believe the relationship one develops with the children in their care is the cornerstone of being an effective teacher. My mission as a teacher is to encourage, motivate, inspire, and support children by providing a safe, secure, and loving learning environment. I strive to bring an open mind and a positive attitude to my classroom each day.

I believe it is my obligation to my students, parents, and to the community to bring trustworthiness, hard work, and warmth to my classroom in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such characteristics in children. I know parents are the most influential teacher a child will ever have. A good parent-teacher relationship is essential for school success.

I believe children learn best through hands-on activities in a safe environment that promotes learning. Teachers should provide opportunities for children with and without disabilities to grow and develop physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively together.

I believe children may learn differently, but all children can learn. I believe, as a teacher; I will never stop learning. I will learn from my students, colleagues, parents, and the community. This is a lifelong process, and I look forward to going on this adventure with you.
